History
In 2007, the UniSadhuGuna Group established the UniSadhuGuna School of Economics (STIE) in Jakarta which was ratified by a decree from the Ministry of National Education, SK MenDikNas No. 203/D/O/2007. The brand name used henceforth was UniSadhuGuna Business School (UBS).
In 2008, UBS approached the Management Institute, University of Indonesia, Economics Faculty – one of the country’s foremost and leading management consulting firms – to design a high quality undergraduate curriculum that would develop graduates of the highest calibre: confident and capable to achieve success in their careers and help the country’s economy and development.
Other leading organizations were also approached to provide customized courses and/or qualifications to enhance the all-round confidence, capability and employability of UBS students. These include:
- The British Institute (TBI), one of the country’s most respected providers of English language training and education
- Business Simulation Certificate, certified by LM-FEUI – Optional
- BTEC APACD (L7) in Management Studies, awarded by Edexcel, the UK’s leading awarding body and internationally recognized by leading universities, colleges, professional associations and employers in Australia, the UK, the US, and Europe. (for UBS-PDC students)
Since then, our focus at UBS has been to focus solely on our students – via academic learning, personal and professional development.
These three core elements in our teaching philosophy – academic, personal and professional – are communicated and shared with our students to produce a vital pool of business-minded, globally-oriented and calculated risk-taker graduates.
UBS will continue to develop relationships with high quality educational institutions, companies, associations and multinationals to ensure that UBS graduates are among the country’s most effective future leaders and entrepreneurs.
